When neighbouring art club, Arun Art Society (based in Ferring) were let down by a visiting demonstrator, Arundel member Paul Witton stepped into the breach. Known for his atmospheric watercolours, Paul delighted his audience with his full explanations, humour and skill. Paul involved the audience fully, making sure their questions were answered clearly and with many tips included. As might have been expected, the feedback afterwards was excellent and - if anything - people preferred Paul's demo to the one they might have had!
What this all points to is the camaraderie between artists and clubs. Especially in times of financial constraint, maybe it could also point to ways that neighbouring clubs might pool their resources to the advantage of all. Something we might all turns our minds to in the months ahead.
